We launched our first Phase of apartments on Thursday 7th June 2018 at the Kings Crescent site. It was really good to so many people turn out for the launch which saw John Forkin, Managing Director of Marketing Derby, cut the ribbon around the newly installed tower crane as a symbol of this important milestone.
The apartments are now advertised on Rightmove website and of course our own www.kingscrescent.com site.
Our latest time lapse video can be viewed at the following link:
The short video shows the current phase of construction – the Pile Cap. This will form the foundation for the steel structure which is being fabricated at present.
Another important phase of the project completed.
It was terrific to support local children and the Strutts Park Community this Halloween with their “Trick or Treat Poster.” Whilst we develop the site which is within the Strutts Park Conservation area we are keeping local residents fully informed as to progress and what is happening on the site.
This is important for us and for the community and so far we have received a great deal of interest in the Kings Crescent project and how it will give the area a much needed uplift.
The original foundation or memorial Stone was laid in 1891 by Clara Clark, the sister of The Reverend Walter Clark, a previous headmaster of the school. It was thought that there was a time capsule buried beneath the stone and we were very careful to dislodge the stone with a view to finding this capsule. However no such item was found much to our and the Old Derbeians disappointment. We hope to find the stone a place in the new building here at Kings Crescent, so as to maintain the history of the site and its memories.
