Our thanks to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Services and in particular the guys that came from their various stations around the area to practice the rescue of a crane operator from our on site crane.
This was a planned exercise through our liaison with the service and it proved to be very worthwhile for both the site team and the rescue services.
Stuart ( Project Director) said; “It was a really useful exercise which showed that by working in partnership with the emergency services, problems such as a crane operator falling ill whilst working, can be dealt with efficiently and professionally. I was really impressed with the fire service guys and the way they dealt with the rescue.”
Local residents were also able to watch the exercise and a little girl was treated to a sit in the fire engine which really made her day.
